Les Cailloux (Lucien et André Brunel)

Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhône Blend 2019

Holy sh*t this has hit a new level. Floral as all get out with ripe jasmine and pressed white flowers. Gained massive volume with a few years of age; tremendous rocky bite, phenolic, smokey, notes of caramel, brûlée, tangerine essential oil. Just fantastic. — 2 months ago

Great bottle of Chablis, with the perfect amount of age on it. — 4 months ago

Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

The wine is just incredible. It needs about one hour of decanting but is still very fruit forward after 8 years in bottle. High minerality, saline, cherries and strawberries. Great weight and needs another two years.

2017 Vintage - rim color going from violet to Red - underbrush, mushroom, soy, cherry fruit, background oak, still has a lot of life - I have another bottle be interesting to come back to this in 4-5 years — 4 months ago

Vent d'Ange Chablis Chardonnay 2020

Very muted in the nose… hardly anything at first, fresh saltiness, barely a hint of green apple & lemon peel. And yet, fresh & enticing.
And then, on the palate this sings! Simply beautiful! With a touch of roundness & creaminess on the palate but also vibrant acidity, salinity, stony minerality. Ripe yellow apple & lemon. Vibrant, juicy and quite complex. Great depth & length.
A benchmark for Chablis & delish!
