2018 vintage. 100% syrah. Willow Creek District. Paderewski Vineyard. Heavy body. Multi-faceted nose. Price has crept up substantially so it is no longer a QPR/bang for the buck darling but is still rocking at full volume. Sometimes, you gotta drop the coin for the concert. 5.29.24. — 7 months ago
Dark ruby color and soft tannins with flavors of unsweetened cocoa, thyme, violet, and cherry. Rich and dry. — 2 months ago
Rose in October? Rose with ‘age’? Yes and yes, especially when it’s in the mid-70s in New York and it’s the ‘21 Bedrock Ode to Lulu. This wine gives you plenty of Bandol for the buck, based on old vine Mourvedre from premier vineyards. With another year in bottle, it was darker hued, subtler and perhaps even a bit sturdier than on initial release. A great wine for what feels like an endless summer. — 2 months ago
The recently released (3/24) Bodega Theriot Chardonnay from Rivers-Marie is excellent. Sunlit straw color, subtle nose, beautiful white fruits, crushed stone and the slightest bit of oak at the back to round it off. This should gain depth from its existing heights! — 8 months ago

Very dark purple color, nearly opaque, intense black fruit and red fruit aromas and flavors, excellent intensity and depth, biodynamic producer, long, lingering finish, my only real nit is it’s 15% ABV, and the alcohol is very evident in the finish, so kinda afraid to age it the 5+ additional years this bottle shows it should logically handle (slight score markdown to reflect this dilemma). — 16 days ago
