The label was in absolute tatters but all other signs appeared to be good with this bottle. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 1990 Grand Année Rosé pours a deep coral color with very little mousse that dissipates in the glass quickly. On the nose, this was funky initially so we tossed it in the decanter which freshened it up. After 30min, it was positively singing! Desiccated strawberry, crème brûlée, pink flowers, and fino sherry. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. This showed remarkable power which was so impressive. I can’t say I’ve ever had a Rosé with quite this amount of age but boy did it ever work. If anyone has any of these laying around; I might suggest giving it a splash in the decanter for 30min first. That’s seriously delicious. Fresh, vibrant, balanced. Wild red fruits with a hint of herbal, basil? Thyme? Really lovely. Light-med body, almost glou-glou - could def take a slight chill. Really lovely from Cos. — 10 days ago
This has all the traits that make Etna Reds so attractive. Medium bodied , red fruited with pronounced minerality. Vines planted on the pure Ellittico lava flow terroir. Predominantly Nerello Mascalese. As many tasters previously have said of Etna Rosso, a hypothetical blend of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. I will leave my last bottle for a couple of years. — 2 months ago
Nose: blackberry flowers. Intense.
Palate: slightly tart blackberry fruit. Clean. Bright. A very well made simple wine. Grippy.
Long finish. — 10 days ago

Excellent with our Spaghetti Bolognese. Some of it is in the sauce as well. Ruby red with aromas of dark cherry, plum, blueberry, and a spice aroma. On the bud, smooth with a nice long finish. — 13 hours ago
