Unbeatable at this price point. Ridiculous complexity. Strawberry, black forest herbs, touch crushed marble, hint white pepper, fresh juicy acidic ripe Italien prune plums. I have no idea how they do this. — 5 months ago
Odlicmo vino, odlicno ide uz meso! Pio u Marble. — 3 months ago
Rotten eggs on the nose. Once this blows off this turns out to be an excellent and interesting Burgh like Pinot for less money. Terrific aromatics. Cherry, earth, touch crushed marble, hint meyer lemon, some spice, just a hint of all-spice.Only 12.5% yeah! — 6 months ago
Baden. Pinot. Kaiserstuhl. An old vulcano in the rhine valley. GG. Warmest area in Ger. figs grow there. Undertasted, ratet und non existent in the US. A suitcase import. Under imported. And overpriced when they are imported. Bought this for 20 bucks in 2012. Brown tinge. Orange zest nose, brown tinge. In the glass blueberries, bark, touch crushed marble, cardamom, hint turmeric, cherries and black tea. Great juice! Might go back May 2024. — a year ago
Very light color. Tinge brown. Dark cherry nose. In the glass earth, raspberries, hint mexican lime. Touch crushed marble. Orange zest. Tannins almost fully resolved. Plenty of acid. Has a couple of years left. A benchmark Pinot from one of Germany’s best vigneron’s. — 2 months ago
Still catching up on the Henschke tasting last weekend. This was another Cuvée new to me. Brief notes. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Light Pass in the Barossa. Matured in 8% new and 92% seasoned French oak. Not overly “Cabernet “. Barossa is best suited to Shiraz IMO. Black cherry and fresh herbs. Not a standout when one is surrounded by other outstanding Henschke reds. — 4 months ago
Much less interesting then the 2018. Which I reviewed just recently. This wine is elegant with mostly red fruit, cherry (but not in your face) hint of black currant, Plenty of acidity. Touch bark. Subdued crushed marble. May be i am tasting this too young. But over all this just does not strike me as a wine which challenges my palate. Compared to the 2021 E&M‘s from Baden. This is very blah. — 10 months ago

Addictive and absolutely stunning. Super elegant and lean when compared to the Buntsandstein from E&M. Ethereal cherry 🍒 light as air. Crushed Marble. Essentially like a Premier Cru Chambolle Musigny from the slopes of the black forest. Tannin’s fully resolved. Drink Up!!!! I would not keep this longer. From here on out it will loose its luster. — 5 days ago
