Wine pours a dark maroon. Wonderful flavors of cherry pie, vanilla, and other berries and plum. Fairly acidic, moderate tannins and an excellent vegetable finish. The wine was a perfect complement to our prime rib and steak dinner the first night of our Christmas 2023 cruise. A definite rebuy-a good value in the premium Napa wines. — 6 months ago
Winery in the movie “A Good Year”. PnP. Wine has a big barnyard, cow shit nose; which I kind of like. Dark red, deep maroon color. Lovely texture with low alcohol. Nice balance of cherries and plums, with earth and terroir. Love the uniqueness and rich depth. — a year ago
This was great! Reminded me of all those great Bordeaux’s we had while in London. 1hr+ decant. Purple color with maroon tones. Dominated by cedar on the nose and palate. Medium plus depth and finish, which had some olives/CDP on it. Well integrated tannins with a nice sweetness. — 3 months ago
Needed a moment to breathe. Super smooth— went great with grilled venison blackstrap — 2 years ago
Dried cherry, leather, sandalwood, caramel, faint potpourri notes on the nose. Maroon fading to brick red on edges of the glass, medium light body, more earthy & savory on the palate, nice frame of medium acidity ending with robust mouth-coating tannins but still a far cry from a young Barolo. I’m experiencing why #barbaresco is such a food friendly wine - set off so well with herby Porchetta and cremini mushroom creamy pasta. — 3 years ago
Dark ruby color. Very funky and somewhat hot right out of the bottle. Eventually, aromas and flavors of jammy black cherry/berry/currant did emerge with additional hints of coffee and toasted oak. Acidity was pretty bright, great on the mid-palate, but the finish was very short. Medium-plus body and fairly rich. Much brighter and better on the second day. Appreciate you sharing this bottle, Pete and Kasey. — 4 months ago
I like Liason in all shapes and sizes and 2020 has a lot to say without any pointy angles.
It's the one with a heavier hand, in cloudy maroon velvet sweats. Brighter and overt, the loyalists might miss some delicacy.
That familiar natty nose, with rolling perfumed volatility and stemmy, woodsy notes. Textured, syrupped, candied sweet cherry and rosemary for a mixed cocktail. — 10 months ago
Has improved over past vintage & still at 11$. Slight grainy texture & fine tannins, maroon/red-black color. Medium to light viscosity with small red berry fruit predominant-but surprising depth, like a Beaujo Villages on steroids. Strong enough acid, & the mid palate wobbles but for this price, it’s Valencia rocks. Served slightly chilled on one of those 90 degree days, East Coast. — 2 years ago

PnP. Dark red/maroon color. Cigarettes, BBQ, and incense on the nose. Similar on the palate. Fairly big wine. Not my style, but I’m sure others may love this. — 23 days ago
