Comtes de Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 2012

One of our absolute favorites. Light and living and just effervescent with lemon curd and clean starfruit and just enough acid to keep the structure together. Incredibly delicate and a well done balancing act to get these flavors to exist with just enough yeast to reflect the lees. Absolutely delightful. — 14 days ago

Cuvée des Grands Côtés Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes Coteaux Champenois Ambonnay Pinot Noir 2017

Never disappoints. Beautiful melange of red fruit, earth, spice and acidity. Full of power but not heavy. As good as some Grand cru’s . Coteaux Champenois is never inexpensive but this has become very pricey . Granted I have not had a large number of still champagne but I have enjoyed the journey. This one is widely considered the king of the hill. — 16 days ago

@Ira Schwartz Interesting Ira. I bought a bottle of the 2020 vintage of this Cuvée last year in a bottle shop in Tuscany. Will be interesting. I paid $574 AUD and I think I got ripped off.

Cuvée des Enchanteleurs Brut Champagne Blend 1998

Wow. 1998 was a great year and this is an awesome iteration. 2nd maturation phase. Perfectly (yes, honestly) balanced flavor profile and still vibrant - not sure what we can drink next to keep going upwards - let’s see. — a month ago

I was able to grab some of these “mis en cave” offerings a few years ago. Imagine my pain when the ‘90s bottle was corked. Happy to hear your ‘82 was fresh.
