Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of ripe berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Exquisite.

Nose : intense early season cherries. Lilacs. So expansive. So dense. Elegant cherry lipstick. Wow!

Palate: perfect early season cherries. Mineral. Amazing internal aromatics. Utterly delicious.

Previous 2 bottles have had evidence of Brett. The Brett more noticeable on the nose than the palate. Still very drinkable - remember, it is Leroy. The following night the Brett much less noticeable. More savoury than fruit driven - a lovely texture and mouthfeel. All in all a good Village Bourgogne if not overpriced. — a year ago
