Tastes better and more expensive than your average prosecco — 9 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90min. The 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo “Pian delle Mole” pours a pale garnet with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red fruits: Morello cherry, loads of tar, dusty earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the red fruits show more like ripe strawberry. Finish is medium. Drink now. — 5 months ago
Slow ox 3 hours, followed by 2 hour decant, and enjoyed with traditional spaghetti with pomodoro sauce, shaved Parmesan and rolled meatballs. Ruby, clear. Hint of tar, smoke, botanicals on nose, with red fruits coming to the fore with time in the glass. Medium bodied. Dried cherry on the palate. Medium plus acidity. Tannic bite on the finish, mellowed by prolonged air and food. Elegant. Give it plenty of air at this point to show its best. Will be better with a few years of age. — a year ago
