Beautiful, even better with the seared foie and persimmon. Honey and flowers in the nose. Rich honey caramel, tons of orange brininess in mouth. Seamless finish..orange all day long. Crazy good — 2 years ago
Tasted melon/Asian pear (notes said persimmon), more complex minerality, pairs well with cheese and food. — 2 years ago
Popped and poured. The 2019 Amador County is energy in a bottle. Deep straw bordering light golden color. Medium viscosity. Medium+ intensity. Generous fruit with bright notes of yellow apple, quince, passion fruit, white flowers, ginger, and persimmon. On the palate, the wine is dry with ripping acid. Confirmed the tart yellow apples which are joined by San Pellegrino-like minerals and lanolin. A wine of lovely texture. The finish is long and immensely satisfying. This is my favorite Sandlands Chenin to-date; checking off so many boxes. — 3 years ago
Glorious nose of apricot, kumquat, mineral, tangerine skins, mirabelle plums, persimmon and more! Wide open nose. Incredible spice and depth. Palate is chock full peach, apricot and more. Juicy and lean but also nimble and powerful. A lot going on here. Terrific intensity and purity. Man this is concentrated and deep. Amazing palate presence. Insane! I love the mineral force that is this wine. Epic finish. — 9 months ago
A little…waxy? Coats the tongue without being tannic. Bit of green persimmon and buttery fruit. It’s an interesting wine. — 3 years ago
This was opened and we enjoyed a few glasses before recorking and reapproaching 24 hours later, at which point it was really singing. Yellow peach, pear and medley of orchard fruit, layered with pressed yellow flowers, dried persimmon, and notes of vanilla and bourbon. So delicate. Such fine bubbles. Saltwater taffy and some caramel and rock salt on the palate. Subtle tannic echo. Mesmerizing. — a year ago
Feelings like it’s fading. Not as vivid as in the past. But still incredibly smooth and with some interesting notes - green apple and a bit of citrus, but also some almond and persimmon. — 3 years ago

Interesting. Lightly sweet and floral of course. Distinctive persimmon notes. — 6 months ago
