Bile colored petrol body Brains with eyes floating, cuttlefish scurry lacing. Caramel lime nose, shows pineapple cake and violet marshmallow, pomelo and pithy pound cake too. Ripping stitches in its dankness, this damned thing has a heartbeat deep inside its malted frame. Cedar and steamy cinnamon is suggested in this citrus bath of ridiculous depth. Pitchfork wood and grapefruit torches. This thing is a true monster! Not many can hold a candle to this! Nor would they want to! Fiiiiire!

Sierra Nevada Dank Little Thing hazy ipa
Pear juice colored, merengue top, stalactic, cephalopodic, surfy lacings and potato-eye dimple dinged tracings. Grapefruit tapioca nose with pink grapefruit nodal components. Lime pulped, and definitely holding. Creamier mouthfeel reveals sweet citrus tangelo, but offers hazelnut, and a certain nugginess suggesting cannabinols. The progression is lime, lemon, grapefruit, pomelo, tangelo, and you know.

Abomination brewing and Hoof Hearted Collab ‘Little Red Riding Hoof’ Triple IPA

Scary good. Thick and opaque gold. Helper shelter lacing. Butterscotch and coffee had a rosemary baby, it turned tropical with baked pineapple and sweet lemon, brown sugar, toffee, and arbor fruit. Strong and mouth-coating. Excellent, and I need more!

Hazy, rosy amber with large spongy cotton head. Desert scrub lacing and fallen branches covered in snow that sticks like pasta. Dank-y mosaics inform carrot-muffin iced with pineapple grapefruit and tangerine in abundance. Hemp-y notes persist on the palate, awash in tangerine and pomelo, dried basil and black lime. Sessionably fortified for easy drinking, but not so creamy as one would expect with the mosaic addition. Very good job keeping the balance.

Pale gold haze with white gold accent. Devilish horned sheet lacing reveals head-butt bunnies and robot parts; snow white and merengue. Grapefruit-clementine nose of carrot sweetness and cut yellow beet teases out almond candy, persimmon, kiwi and green banana. Palate is less tropical, with icy citrus and metallic energy, but texturally creamy; candied sage, Indian gum, Mexican wedding cookie flashbacks, white grapefruit, gooseberry, lime pith and white pomegranate seed nodules. Hints at white pepper in orange pith. I like it. Less “juicy” than suggested, but high quality offering worth the rotation. Something to shake a stick at!

#Gasoline colored with a purple hint to a shock white head. Bears ears lacing melts to tentacles from the deep. Orange zest breads and carrot cakes nose meet candied grapefruit and limoncello. Round palate shows restraint, builds around the beer-ness a mandorla both bread-y and zesty with citrus melange exquisite. Its darkness is not the lead as it also shows a galactic shimmer. Incredible.

Elysian Phaze Dust Imperial Hazy IPA
Golden to antique-gold base, loopy head of white reflecting said. Galactic nebulae suggesting horse heads in clover beds. Banana and pineapple lead the tropical bouquet with marigold and cherry side swipes. Orange, lemon, tangerine, lime and sticky nettle inundates. Lively mouthfeel marries the piney bits to the lemon and adds grapefruit in abundance, stinging the taste buds, and blinding them to the supernovae of lime and lemongrass and green mango to follow. There is cantaloupe bobbing like a rogue planet in the cosmic soup, and seed-bitter citrus background radiation, but the core of pineapple remains. Nice interstellar sojourn.

Rose-colored gold, opaque; melting hexagonal beeswax comb lacing turns levitating knives, woodcut claws and feathers. Orange, tangerine and apricot richness with tropical pineapple and banana leaf. Lime and lemon pith, lemon-lime bottlecap candy, Alka-seltzer, strangely, plantain, and truncated grapefruit. Perhaps lacks the creaminess of the hazy style in an attempt to keep the abv reasonable?

Rich antique golden body, with expressive chiffon ‘do; zig-zag serpent lacing. Candied lemon peel, pineapple purée, orange pith, sweet tobacco touches, sapodilla custard nose. Peppercorns and cloves in grapefruit skin, brown sugar crystals on top of cut pink grapefruit, lemon pith, rye kernels, caraway, allspice, bitter pecan, honey on burnt toast. Nice beer in that is shouts beer grains while oozing citrus, and flexing some abv muscle!

Color somewhere between Mountain Dew and vegetable broth. Low density head of space-white with a yellow-green tinge. Horned owls and kissing fish lacing die-cuts to crowns bejeweled by bubbles. Tropical pudding of lime and pineapple-tangerine, banana and lemon sugar. Coconut and mango afterthoughts. Power punch palate entry. Eucalyptus wood intimations, toasty sesame with lemon zest, pith and seed. Toasted coconut says ‘hello’, and ‘remember me?’salinity infuses the betel nut, nutmeg and allspice whispers, and the whole is well-integrated as Founder’s is fond. I lean toward impeccable, but I go with impressive.

Beware the Ph…er, Fog! Lil’ Pumky from Abomination Brewing Company, North Haven CT. Gourdy gourdy gumdrops! Chalk colored shaver’s lather devolves to ghost trails. Gator snout lacing draws back horizontally, Nose shows strong citrus and squash notes; lime and lemongrass push grapefruit to the fore. This one, though creamy, stays citrusy throughout, and the pumpkin spice is very light, but the true pumpkin aspect came through. This is a valiant effort to achieve real pumpkin flavor, which is difficult. This brewery is on the right track, and honestly, I’m not sure where to improve, but it needs a little spice kick from a specialty hop, perhaps. I humbly submit.

Sweet dankness interswirled with lemon, tangerine and grapefruit notes. But ever earthy with cola highlights on the nose. Nutty and hempy initially; caramel, light coffee, dark pastry, grapefruit oil, peel and zest appear with prominence. Ever flavor on the palate remains for the ride, and it is a long one. Persistence of viscous!
