Has a soft floral fragrance with notes of dark berries!
Drinks quite strongly and is intense right out of the gates. However, it does mellow out a bit…but still retains robust flavors of spice, dark fruit and tobacco leaf. — 6 days ago
Quite deep ruby , pretty opaque . Quite deeply fruited and slightly spicy oak , dark blackberry , blackcurrant , with a grafite , wet slate touch. Quite a bit of grip on the palate with blackberry , spicy blackcurrant , dark cherry . More mineral and dense on the palate , quite good acidity, touch of sweet oak. Decent length with no warmth or sweetness from the alcohol. Quite serious , slightly austere perhaps but balanced and actually quite refreshing. Drink from now over the next 5-10 years . This would have been a recent release , purchased from the vineyard earlier this year. — 8 days ago
Okay. Again the same dilemma. If a wine does not meet expectation is it basically bad (for me)? 🤔 because in life everything is relative, right? Any thoughts on puzzling matter??The wine was well balanced, dark red fruit flavors, polished, smooth tannins, good intensity and concentration, but limited length and lacking any meaningful complexity… Eight year old left bank Bordeaux. A fourth or fifth growth winery, maybe not, can’t remember for sure. Do remember what I paid though, $120. Definitely too much for what we experienced this evening…. as to our expectations. — 13 days ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 96% Tinto Fino and 4% Merlot, new and used oak aging, deep Ruby red with elegant bouquet of berry fruits, pepper spice with earthy tones. On the palate flavors of plum and blackberry, with tobacco, oak, pepper spice, lively acidity. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and an earthy character. Nice! — 6 days ago
