No one can guess this is from Virginia! Go for it, if you can get it… — 9 days ago
As a nod to Karen (who some will remembered worked at Louis M. Martini decades ago—and is the nicest and best person to ever work in the wine industry) we opened this for my birthday. Paired it with a Tri Tip. It was a nice pairing. Good cab. It was better a couple years ago but still nice to drink for a special occasion. — 3 months ago
Very nice, smooth red. Good easily make it a favourite red. — 4 months ago
And now to South Africa! Where they produce some awesome en es for decent prices. The Pinotage was created there. A crossing between Pinot Noir and Cinsault (which was called Hermitage in its olden days). It tastes like a Pinot Noir on steroids. But, when Kanonkop gets its hands on it they lift it up to a sensational experience. Vibrant, intense and layered with flavors. Their black label is their cream of the crop sourced from old vines. — 13 days ago
Husky and tannic, dark fruit and tobacco box. Good but probably need even more age to round off. — 2 months ago
Another solid vintage of this South African Bordeaux-Style red. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Merlot (28%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Petite Verdot (3%). Aromas of black fruit, vanilla and dried rose petals. Flavors of cassis, blackberry, mulberry, black cherry, dried herbs and minerals. Lengthy finish and full bodied. Soft tannins and well structured. Nicely aged and quite elegant. — 3 months ago
Tannat desert wine? I was intrigued! Per previous comments, port-like, funky candied-anise type nose, not tannic at all. Big fan! — 11 days ago
Bit by bit, the case is dwindling. Every bottle has been really excellent. — 19 days ago
This wine is very dark. It has a fragrant nose, full of blue and black fruit, flowers, cedar, green pepper, and an underlying earthiness. The palate is fruity and rich, with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. There is a bright acidity matched with gentle tannins. The finish is medium long and carries the fruit as a lasting memory. — 3 months ago

Deep Ruby with slightly lighter ruby edge nose and palate of dark cherry flavours with some vanilla and tobacco flavours
Still maturing but will last a long time.
Great accompaniment to a NY cut steak. Should further mature for a decade or more.
