Trader Joe’s. Long gone! For 15$ quite good! This is the 2019 - one of the best vintages in Piedmont. So - in this case even lousy cheapo wineries made great wine. Tastes like 40$. Roses, super astringent, violets. Hint Eucalyptus. A little rough: Bought a case most gone should have bought 2 - will age the last 3 bottles just out of curiosity - could go another 5-10 years. Solid vintage of this consistent Chianti. Dark ruby color with some garnet inflections. Aromas of dark berries, violets, baking spices and toasty oak. Blackberry and black cherry fruit flavors with hints of menthol, dark chocolate, dried beef and dried herbs. Long finish. Medium-plus bodied with plenty of structure and intensity. Bright acidity and moderate (but well balanced) tannins. Solid! — 2 months ago

Medium ruby , medium ruby garnet rim . Quite aromatic , cedar, red cherry , cut herbs , and a slight meaty , soy , balsamic touch . On the palate quite lean red fruits and some dark cherry , blackberry , cedar , liquorice with a herbal tinge . Gritty tannin , quite high acidity . Slightly short and lean on the finish . This is drinking at peak now , doesn’t have the structure or density to last so would recommend to drink over the next 3-5 years . — 3 days ago
