2022 vintage purchased and drunk February 2025. Excellent value at $17. The light oak is well integrated. — a month ago
A blend of about 50% Syrah, rest Cab Sauv, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Cab Franc, Sangiovese, Viognier & Merlot. Deep inky Ruby color with complex aromas of dark fruit, spice, almonds and wet earth. On the palate blackberry, currant and raspberry flavors, soft tannins on a long finish ending with leather, pepper, smoke and oak tones. Very Nice, a beauty. — 21 days ago
Excellent with our Spaghetti Bolognese. Some of it is in the sauce as well. Ruby red with aromas of dark cherry, plum, blueberry, and a spice aroma. On the bud, smooth with a nice long finish. — 19 days ago
A bit hot but still really good. Didn’t last to day 2. — 3 months ago
Little more tannic than I lean towards, but nice. — 11 hours ago
Stolpman never fails! Downed this vintage with a meatball sub. Not overly grippy, the Sangiovese and Grenache do this wine wonders. Earthy berries, spice, and tar. Just delightful. — 19 days ago
Even better than the crazy-good 2007, the 2015 La Sangre de Jonata is sheer perfection in a glass and up with the finest Syrahs ever made in California! Checking in as a blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier, aged in barrel, its saturated purple color is followed by out of this world aromatics black raspberries, smoked earth, graphite, game, violets and freshly crushed rock-like minerality. — a month ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Ruby color, purple edges, with pronounced aromas of red fruits, floral, herbs and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, ripe plum and black cherry with orange citrus, herbs, vanilla and oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with fruit, vanilla, floral, spice and oaky tones. Very Nice! Will age!
