Medium lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral, honey and flinty mineral notes, aged 9 months in Stockinger Pincheons, then 6 months in stainless. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with citrus and floral wrapped in a nutty vanilla spice. Long finish, lively acidity, ending with fruit, toasty oak, spice and savory citrus character. — 4 months ago
Good fruit, strawberry, touch of lemon, peach and cream (?), good acid but not at all tart, honeydew, citric and malic notes on finish. Dry but not bone dry. Complex but missing savory and mineral notes from previous vintages, oh well, drinkable enough why wish for the moon? — 7 months ago
It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pretty nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing cherries, currants, plums, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 11 year old Merlot still feels fresh and engaging, with a lot of power to last even longer.
This Single Vineyard Merlot is extracted and fruit forward. The alcohol is nicely integrated by now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Delicious by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with food too.
14.7% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Looks like a nice Columbia Valley Cab. Dark color. Heady and dense nose. Maybe a herbal and earthy streak in with the plum sauce on the nose. Flavors are chewy and vicious. Horehound meets berry cobbler and a bit of flint. Plenty bittersweet like a good Cab should be. Has a big style, but holds a bit of elegance as well. Will be great with the grilled steak I’m going to have with it later. A nice find at the grocery outlet 20% off wine sale. — 6 months ago
Oaky and smooth. This wine has become one of our favorites! — 10 months ago
100% destemmed grapes. Ruby red, soft texture, strawberry, cherry and a hint of vanilla. — 4 months ago
It’s been 16 months since last bottle of this Gargiulo G Major 7. One of my early Napa favorites. Fruit is ripe and bountiful, dark red and black. Very nicely balanced, acidity is very much holding its own, tannins are soft yet still structured. Gravely, vanilla, licorice, pencil shavings. Nice finish. Opens up nicely in the glass. — 5 months ago
Nice one! Opened up after some time! Full bloom of cherries red fruit and rounded profile. Served at lunch with Ma Lewis in Newport and very well received. — 8 months ago
Decant this bottle for about an hour or two ….and Bachman-Turner Overdrive is showing up!! Baby, You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet. It just suddenly erupts with vibrant spicy red fruit, loaded with shrapnel of sharp, penetrating tannins that blow you to a finish and sticks you with a perfect landing. Wow, what an experience 🥰 — 2 years ago
