Even after 3 hours, this is shy. Darker fruits, loads of structure. A few hints at what it will become but needs more time. — 25 days ago
Perfection. So glad I laid this one down. — 22 days ago
This is my favorite Zinfindel blend from Ridge. I like it/them more with 8-10 years of bottle age. But this 2023 drank very well young. One of the best current releases I’ve had in a while. Fresh as it was very recently bottled! 93+ in time.
Sirloin Steak was tip top.
Pebble Beach Food & Wine 2025.
The ticket to this event has a pretty big price tag. But when you consider what a Napa etc. tasting or two and lunch would cost you, you are pretty much there and there is so much more than that. It ends up having great value. It’s wine, spirits and food candy land. — 4 days ago
So on opening it was weird, kind of funky, not a lot of flavor. Put cork back in and sat in fridge for 3 days, pulled out and let warm up. Tasting great and classic gamay! Cherry, a bit of earth, some strawberry, good balance and some tannin. Would let this vintage rest in bottle for longer, maybe end of summer bbq. — 25 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The 2022 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart orchard fruit: passion fruit, lemon, sea spray, white flowers, lanolin and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with a wooly texture and lovely minerals. Drinking now through 2037. — a month ago
Ruby in color with a wide reddish/brick rim.
Fruit forward on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing sweet cherries, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, plums, chocolates, light oak, earth, cola, herbs, spices, light vanilla, licorice, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Nice tangy finish with soft tannins.
This 6-year-old Zinfandel blend from Sonoma County is drinking at its peak. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant and juicy.
Great right out of the bottle, but even better after a few hours of air, when the complexity really comes to life.
The alcohol is very nicely integrated by now. Easy drinking and nicely balanced. A great sipping wine.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Smooth! Jammy aftertaste. Not incredibly sweet. Good recommendation for a first try of red. (XI buy) — 4 days ago

First vintage of this wine, finished with a German-made glass closure, rich and complex, dark fruits, really fantastic Sierra foothills (2,900 feet elevation) Syrah, long, lingering finish, and, 14.9% ABV, yet not hot?!?! — 25 days ago
