2007 vintage. Nice fill. Used a Durand to open but good cork nonetheless. Decanted and tasted after 15 minutes. JFC...does the oak ever die on this nonsense? Tried to bushwhack through it without success. Even the Alexander Valley product has the good sense to have the oak minimized/integrated/drop off after a decade. Not the case here. There's a reason why I haven't even considered carrying this on a wine list since the late 90's. This go round didn't exactly convert my opinion. 8.16.26. — 18 days ago

Pale lemon in color with a golden hue.

Nose of limes, yeast, earth, citrus, brioche, minerals, spices, sea salt and light herbs.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and medium sized bubbles.

Dry on the palate with lemons, green apples, herbs, yeast, earth, spices, white pepper and brioche.

Long finish with limes and light herbs.

This is a very tasty sparkling wine from Russian River Valley. Feels very fresh, complex and entertaining. Nicely balanced and elegant.

This 6 year old Blanc de Blanc will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food.

100% Chardonnay grapes were aged for 4 years on the lees.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Very dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing red and black fruits with light wood, spices, barnyard, blood, dried meats, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, earth, herbs, peppercorn and licorice.

Nice finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This Single Vineyard Grenache from Walla Walla Valley is very stinky and austere on the nose.

Complex and very interesting, but not what I expected at all. Feels more like an old world wine.

I had a recent vintage a couple of years ago and it showed much better. Might just be this particular bottle, or it could be past its prime by now.

A good quality wine and still very drinkable.

This is what I remember about great California Cabs. In my cellar for 25+ years. Popped the cork and left air 2 hours before decanting for another hour. A hint of the coconut marker while first decanting but blew off quickly. Great color and condition. — a year ago
