Opened and poured into a decanter about four hours prior to service. The 2005 pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and some sediment. One the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of ripe brambles, garrigue, cool spices, leather, licorice, and espresso. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, tart and sapid. A wine of pedigree and yet, has a rusticity that gives a nod to its origin. Drink now through 2035+? — 20 days ago
Piuze makes fantastic Chablis, so perhaps not surprising how much value his sparkling wine brings. Much more detail & incisive focus than 17$ should be; very dry on palate, with small red berry essences & very balanced. This beats up Cremants at the same price point, & then some. — 6 hours ago

From 3 vineyards, medium Ruby with berry fruit, fragrant spice and earthy floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry, and licorice with notes of herb pepper spice and nice tangy mineral feel. Fine tannins, long finish ending with tobacco and cacao wrapped in an earthy spice character. Starting to drink well now, good for another decade. — 2 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of citrus and stone fruit with fresh herb notes. On the palate flavors of green apple and grapefruit, with herbs and crisp mineral tones. Medium finish, well balanced on a soft ending. Easy drinking. Very nice! Consistent quality. — 5 days ago
