I have always been a fan of the wines from this domain. Now at age 15/16 this wine stands firm! Everything comes together with a nose of red fruit, licorice, leathersoap. The mouthfeeling is silky, cherries you know these big black ones, subtle acidity making you want to drink more but no need as the finish takes you over the minute. Fantastic wine! — 2 months ago
Mucho mejor de lo esperado, buen balance de fruta seca y madera, vainilla. — 5 months ago
Consistent with previous bottles and notes. Just love the rich, slightly oxidized style of vanilla drenched ripe yellow fruit, cedar and marzipan with a touch of sweetness. Good acidity and complexity. — 2 days ago
Bright and crisp. Blair and Meghan loved it. — 4 months ago
Always fun to explore an indigenous varietal from Spain - especially when Alvaro Palacios is involved. I found this Mencia wine to be medium bodied with good acidity and structured tannins that were present in this young wine but not obnoxiously so. The fruit is darker dried red fruit that proved to be a good compliment with grilled shishito peppers. It was so nice to dive into a new aspect of Spain’s wine history. — 4 months ago
Light, lemony but not too tart, creamy texture, smooth finish. Paired well with garlic chicken. — a month ago
