Savory, fruit and texture driven blend of Etna’s Carricante plus three other local grapes. It displays a clear and bright, light straw yellow appearance backed up by attractive high toned aromatics of citrus and white stone fruits.

On the palate, it is oak-free, medium bodied and nicely balanced with an ample supply of juicy acidity and perfumed fruit that gives the Bianco a long, satisfying finish. Overall, this is an elegant and flavorsome sip-and-savor wine that should appeal to just about anyone.

100% Cortese grapes. Bright straw gold color. Aromas and flavors of golden delicious apple, lemon/lime, white flowers, hay and pineapple. A distinct steely (somewhat bitter) minerality on the medium-short finish. Soft textured and fresh with crisp, well balanced acidity. Refreshing. — 5 months ago

Nose presents baking spices and a touch of soft brown sugar. Palate is dense and layered, as usual for this producer (before the winery changed hands the first time around). Notes of coffee, tobacco and maple syrup come through on the mid palate. Nice tannin/acidity combination complete what is a classic BV presentation. Drink these within the 24 months. This winery has been on the slide ever since Ed Snyder and team departed. I tasted some of the 18’s and 19’s and they were a mere shadow of the previous product.

Medicinal nose, with hints rose petal, balsamic, fresh plum, and blackberry on a medium body. The palate is medium bodied, almost lighter, with the age not really showing, but a zippy acidity, with sandpaper dry tannins, but light sandpaper. — 6 months ago
