Vinos A Tresbolillo

Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez

Valderiz Ribera Del Duero 2019

2019 vintage. Pop N Pour (PNP). Immediate access and goods available. Smoky, saline, sultry nose. Medium body. Plenty of oak but held in check by current tannins/acidity + fruit balance. Could initially be mistaken as a red Bordeaux from right bank St. Émmie. Keeps piling on the cherry pastille angle and, initially, the wine drinks (not in a bad way) a tad stratified with layers of this, then layers of that. Time in the glass finds that dissipating. Graphite. Ripe dark plum. Blackberries. Dark cherries. Each of these figure prominently during. Elements of grace hovering in the meanwhile with a rich, carob, plummy flourish at palate’s end. Biodynamic and certified organic. Gotta go pick up a few more bottles. 01.01.25. — 11 days ago

@Ron R Just picked up 4 cases for work as the QPR is ridiculous.

@Ron R Loved the 2017 vintage (9.3) but this just ups the ante and delivers the winnings.

Old Vines Vinos de Madrid Garnacha 2020

Haven’t had this wine in a minute and it’s just as good as I remember. Perfect weeknight dinner or backyard cookout wine. Kirsch and raspberry fruit lead the way, with some sly stony, slate-like minerality in the back half of the palate. Soft and fresh. — 8 months ago

Lousas Vinas de Aldea Vinos Atlanticos Red Blend 2019

Where the cool kids and the somms can get along. Wildly balanced in a harmony we can all agree upon. Potpourri of fresh fleshy cherry, stems, full of green pine and acetone and crystalized Luden cough drops, residues of mint, meat and blood.

Texture like crushed velvet. Damn soft, subtle cush crunch.

Bodegas Licinia

Vinos de Madrid Syrah Blend 2017

This wine reminds me of Australian Shiraz: full bodied with heavy tannins, but not that much like Shiraz. I love the small sweetness at the beginning of the taste and then a subtle complexity at the end. — 8 months ago

Vinos Libre Yá

Yá Cuvée 23 Brut Reserva Cava Macabeo-Xarel-lo-Parellada 2016

From magnum. The age has done this bottle good with honey and brioche on the nose. The palate has citrus, pear, baked apples, and toast. Really fun sipper for a holiday party that doesn’t break the bank. — 2 years ago

Migan Vinos Atlánticos Listan Negro

Stinky! Barnyard and Romano cheese with a red fruit undertone. Bright and lean on the palate. Paired well with the August courses at Canlis. — 5 months ago

Vinos de Arganza

Flavium Premium Bierzo Mencía 2008

Deep ruby color with a garnet rim; cherries, strawberries, and something floral on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like tart cherries, black pepper, pomegranates, and crushed gravel with a long fruity finish. I love this wine! — 9 months ago

Vinos Valtuille

PV Pago de Valdoneje Bierzo Mencía 2015

Extremely earthy. Aromas and flavors of red and black fruits with hints of smoke, black licorice and roasted mint leaves. Just a touch of Brett. Really dense (including the color) and concentrated. Fine tannins. Rustic but elegant. Thanks a mark B. — 3 years ago
