Arnot-Roberts

Trout Gulch Vineyard Chardonnay 2021

2021. Drove to Omaha to attend an Arnot-Roberts wine class and tasting, and got there early to enjoy some delicious oysters with a bottle of fantastic Chardonnay that wasn’t on the tasting list. Unfortunately, Nathan Roberts flights were delayed and the class was cancelled, but we’re going home with a bunch of tasty wines instead! — 11 days ago

Young. Nice to check in on these Horseshoes but I’ve learned they can go the distance. A few more years and this will unfurl. — a month ago

Táganan Vinos Atlánticos Red Blend 2017

Macerated cherry, spice, cigar box, Mediterranean herbs, all come alive in this exceptional field blend of native varieties on Tenerife’s volcanic soils: Táganan, named for the area, from Spanish superstars Envínate. Intensely perfumed, it’s a stunning, elegant red with tremendous clarity and precision, clean and bright with great structure. The finish is long, with saturated sour cherry and a kiss of vanilla. Immaculate stuff, memorable. Decanting essential.
