Color is a deep purple garnet with a touch of bricking. Nose—bursts with blackberry, floral and cedar with green veggies, vanilla, smoky menthol, and cedar lingering. Taste—classic Bordeaux: silky, smooth and a medium plus body flavors of plum, stewed meat, minerals and smoked cedar. Lingered tastes of tobacco and subtle vanilla giving it moderate dry finish. A fantastic luscious wine to drink on a nice semi-warm Labor Day weekend evening. — 3 years ago
This wine I recently had is the 2013 Domaine Berrien Estate Grown Cabernet Franc which is from Berrien Springs, Michigan.
On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, green bell pepper, black pepper and herbaceous notes.
On the palate is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, green bell papper, black pepper crushed gravel and earth.
This wine is medium to medium + bodied with medium acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins that leaves you with a long red fruit crushed gravel finish. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
Jordan Winery Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016: Full body. Great structure & balance. Rich mouth feel. Dark fruits. Plum. Vanilla. Oak. Spice. Extremely smooth finish. One of the benchmark standards of a top California Cab from a legendary winery you can’t go wrong with! Have a great weekend. Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
This is the 2022 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc. This is from Marlborough, New Zealand.
On the nose is the distinct aromas of lime, grapefruit, white peach, guava herbal notes, grass and pear.
On the palate there is grapefruit, lime, pineapple, mango and white peach.
This is a medium bodied wine with a cleanfresh mouth watering mothfeel medium+ acidity and a lind crusp citrus lime grapefruit finish. A wonderful wine for the money. Looks like the weekend should be a good one with some crisp cool weather. Wish you an eventful weekend. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — a year ago
Today I have decided to go to my cellar and pull the 2012 Domaine Berrien Cellars Crown of Cab. One of the best winery's in Southwest Michigan if not the best. This is a Bordeaux blend of 40% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. What a wine from Wally Mauer and the Domaine Berrien winery.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, anise, violet, baking spice and crushed gravel.
On the palate I am getting black cherry, blackberries, green bell pepper, black currant, violet, black pepper, graphite and earth.
This wine is full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel, medium to medium + acidity and medium + grippy mouthcoating tannins that leaves you with a long black fruit woodsy finish. What a wonderful Sunday wine. This winery in Southwest Michigan is my absolute favorite and can compete with any California winery out there. I hope everyone's weekend has been an eventful one. Please stay safe and healthy and have a wonderful week ahead. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
