A fresh and young 2021. Tight acids, lots of bright tannins. Hasn’t mellowed into Nebbiolo brick and tar yet, but good. Lots of dried roses, thyme, flinty, touch of prune and baking spice. From Fermented Grapes. 12/10/2022 — 4 years ago
A bit too direct and rocky for me. Definitely a style. It was bracing and the acid high. It did have an interesting nose of terroir — 6 years ago
" the Sangiovese grapes have created an intensely colored wine with ripe blackberry fruits on the nose followed by floral plum characters on the palate. Beautifully concentrated and fine, with a long fruit laden finish." — 7 years ago
A 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and (Pinot) Meunier; mostly sourced from the 2011 vintage (40%) with the balance from 2010 and 2009.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The C. de Pinots NV pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe apple, toasted brioche, split almonds and lemon bar and spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. The DNA is there and showing a slightly more oxidative style. Drink now. Disgorged July 2016. — 3 months ago
Black cherry & blackberry with dark fruit, soft tannins and dark cherries in the palate. Paired well with a smoked cheese and spicy ham. — 7 months ago
Pre-4th steak dinner! Beautiful nose of cigar ash, ripe dark fruits, tar, and a slight deep hint of spearmint. The palate has some Zingy tannins that strike quick and then release, almost like the acidity you get from pineapple to the top of the mouth. Medium to heavy bodied, very approachable but delicious and complex with beautiful energy and little to no hint of the age, with a blend of blueberry jam, violet and sandalwood on the finish. — 3 years ago

Opened another recently, legendary wine, said that in the 18th century was introduced to Sultan of Constantinople's palace b/c of its clarity and called "mineral water from Carbonnieux", defying Islamic law. Pale lemon with pronounce aromas of tropical and stone fruits with herb notes. On the palate flavors of melon, mango, apple, green herbs and a crisp mineral edge. Medium+ length, balanced acidity, ending with a fruit, citrus mineral character. Nice, aging well. — 5 years ago
It’s not peppery, which I always look for in a Pinot, but I nonetheless love this wine. — 6 years ago
"made from classic Tuscan red grapes. Has a bright red color with purple hues. on the nose it displays rich aromas of blackberry, cherry and violets, while on the pallet there is an abundance of crisp elegant cherry fruit" — 6 years ago
Exactly what you'd expect from a sweet, red Italian. Slight sparkle. Low alcohol. Delicious. — 7 years ago

2010 vintage. Decanted and tasted immediately. Lean and mean. Medium body but only because of the concentration. Dark fruits and plenty of espresso influence evident. Slightly less delicate than other P-C efforts fortunate enuff to taste. Tighter than the outstanding 2009 upon initial impressions. Needed more time to coddle this one but couldn't carve it out. ***EDIT 6.27.26***Delectable was having a moment during the review process and couldn't access previous wines/research properly, so went with memory. Ha so bad. It WASN'T the 2009 I thought I previously had. Actually confused vintages and had this exact 2010 vintage on 12.5.25 (9.6) with enough time to appreciate properly. The 2010 quickie was still nice at 9.4 but not nearly as good as being 9.6 romanced properly. 6.20.26. — 8 days ago
