Quite deep garnet , just a hint of ruby and a wide garnet , terracotta rim. Touches of chestnut , dark fruits , earthy liquorice , dry spice and black tea . On the palate this is very classically styled , with dark liquorice tinged blackberry, raspberry , spiced black tea and menthol tinged good long length finish . Balanced acaidity and quite high , grippy tannins. With time this is beginning to show quite well , but will not doubt improve over the next 5 perhaps 10 years and last well a further 10 . Really quite classic and imposing in style , but detailed and complex. — a day ago

Cherries, black licorice and smoke on the nose.
Wild cherries, laurel leaf, dried flowers, mineral and savoury.
The purity of fruit is incredible.
Smooth and round tannins with a juiciness on the finish. — 15 days ago

Celebrating 15 year anniversary! Drinking beautifully after a 30 min decant. Brickish coloring. Very traditional tasting notes...subdued red fruits with tobacco and earthy notes. Tannins have mellowed but are still present. Have several more so I'll be updating this annually now! Drank at Amici byob in Cherry Hill, NJ (excellent food and service!). — 2 days ago

A Barolo where you don’t have to wait 15 to 20 years to drink it at its best. Aromatics of dried cherry, liquorice and spice. A medium bodied palate showing dried cherry with powdery tannins. Good length with a firm finish. — 14 days ago

The wine opened very hot on the nose & palate but with plenty of underlying fruit. 20 minutes decanted it evolved to cherry and tobacco on the nose and lively fruit on the palate. This is a rich complex wine with layers of fruit & some spice early … and then beautifully balanced tannins/ fruit in the long finish. It is mature but can evolve well for another couple of years. Drink now or in 4 years.
