This was really nice, but I think I’ve had better gamay — 22 days ago
I’ve been drinking this slowly over a week and a half. At this point it tastes like a fortified or mulled wine. It’s deep, inky like ox blood, burnt copper color around the rim. The smell is mulled red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, dry earth, purple flowers, sweet lavender. Very delicate tannins remain with an acidity that tickles the edges of the tongue and fades quickly. What you’re left with is something that resembles a young fortified wine with beautiful red fruit, earth, a floral element that lingers, and a slight hint of mushroom. It’s quite lovely and unexpected. — a month ago
As good as Beaujolais gets. From the oldest vines at Roilette. Have had numerous bottles of Griffe and it always delivers. Darker and heavier then typical Cru Beaujolais. More cherry and less berry flavor. Little tannic and ages well. Just getting harder to secure bottles. — 2 months ago
Took a bit of a gamble given the rep for being very long lived. Opened t-8 hours and decanted 3+ hours. Still quite closed. You can get a sense of the depth of the fruit on the nose but overall it is veiled. The tannins are serious. Would never have guessed Beaujolais- one to let rest for many years. — 3 months ago

A Kermit Lynch import. Enough said. A stunning Fleurie. Just stunning. — 5 days ago
