Double Magnum. Still very fresh — 2 hours ago
Another stunning Chambertin from the Burgundy dinner in Sydney 6 weeks ago. An absolutely gorgeous nose. Interestingly 100% new oak but the powerful fruit just swallows it. A little Animale/Feral note which adds interest. The medium plus bodied palate shows a savoury and sinewy texture. This has got the lot and still with a long window up to the early 2040s. Surpassed the 2002 in my book. — 9 days ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%), Merlot (19%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Petite Verdot (3%). Dark garnet/ruby/purple/black color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, rose petals, cigar box and smoked meat. Flavors of blackberry, black currant and black plum fruit with additional hints of tobacco, black olives and cloves. Long lasting velvety finish. Full bodied with noticeable (but well integrated) tannins. Beautiful freshness. Rich and powerful but so well balanced. Consistently Outstanding vintage after vintage. Could continue to age for decades! — 5 days ago
1982 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 30 minutes and 2 hours. Impressively dark color. Bit of mint and funk in the nose. Elegant and supple with more than enough supporting fruit during the experience. Thriving vs surviving. This specimen was showing very nicely. Been a while since last tasting this but no rush to crush. Thank you, Bill!! 09.21.25 — 12 days ago

No formal notes . Ruby garnet and narrow garnet rim . This shows some development , with red fruit dominating , red plum , cherry, roasted red pepper . On the palate this is quite elegante, again the red fruit character, ripe cherry , red plum . Quite fresh acidity and rounded tannins , good spicy finish . Showing well now , and I would imagine over the next 5 or so years . Quite a user friendly , elegant Margaux , rounded fruit but enough freshness to balance , alcohol a little noticable , so would serve slightly cooler . Emirates Business Class
