Quite deep ruby , pretty opaque . Quite deeply fruited and slightly spicy oak , dark blackberry , blackcurrant , with a grafite , wet slate touch. Quite a bit of grip on the palate with blackberry , spicy blackcurrant , dark cherry . More mineral and dense on the palate , quite good acidity, touch of sweet oak. Decent length with no warmth or sweetness from the alcohol. Quite serious , slightly austere perhaps but balanced and actually quite refreshing. Drink from now over the next 5-10 years . This would have been a recent release , purchased from the vineyard earlier this year. — 15 days ago
Amazing wine, so fresh at 63 yrs that kept developing in the glass with a deep, dark color, notes of berry, currant fruit, cedar, leather, earth, sweet spices, graphite & tobacco — 7 days ago
Beautiful St Estephe 23 yo and not yet peaked. Fresh berry fruit, red and blue, chokecherry, cigar box, mocha, thyme, cinnamon, crushed granite, — 12 days ago
Solid. Tough to follow the Accendo. Cherry fruit with some plums are most prominent. Medium plus depth. Continuum just isn’t my style, but not bad by any means. — 7 days ago
