2022 vintage. Sampled via Coravin. Medium-medium heavy body. Vineyard from the highest point in Gevrey-Chambertin. Gorgeous throughout already with surprising, back-end spice fest. Has a weird, wild quality. Gamey in style. I get roasted tomatoes and thyme on the nose. Dark fruit inside, primarily black cherry but also English black tea. Has a stemy quality. Medium bodied, but dense with complexity. A restrained power.

2014 vintage. Decanted and chilled down slightly. Great cork. Smoky, reductive nose interspersed with dark plum. Medium body since this had shed the T-M winter coat. Raspberry, rhubarb and cranberry large and in charge initially but came back into the fold in due time with some forest floor and spearmint finishing touches/accents. Well knit. Pop and pour yesterday, notes from 24 hrs open, unrefrigerated on the counter. Sweet, sweet burgundian perfume: vosne spice, pomegranate, wild strawberry, soft herbal notes...On the palate: fantastic acidity, lovely density; more pomegranate, soft grapeseed notes, still very primary, but soft tannin on the delicate finish...Stunning. — 5 years ago

Sexy fucking wine. Sexy is overused but I’d get in a hastily planned 3 month relationship with this wine that would end in bitter heartbreak. Gorgeous nose. Flowers, big cherries, lipstick vibe. Palate is ripe and opulent with lovely sucrosity and wonderful freshness. Silky tannins and great mouthfeel. Very 15 but also very alluring. Long finish. Wonderful mineral drive and very complex. Light garnet color. Very interesting nose and palate of red fruits, rose petals, dried herbs, black tea, bergamot and sweet baking spices. Hint of eucalyptus on the long, complex and earthy finish. Classic chenin. Beeswax and non-oak smoke . Zip lining acid that goes really well with shrimp pad Thai but not with double chocolate chip cookies 😂. Green papaya. There is a little bit of ripe tropical fruit but it’s still such a direct wine — 5 years ago
