No problems noted despite the age. Very good, but not outstanding. The nose was great at about 30 minutes-1 hour in the glass. The nose seemed to fade over the evening, but still very nice. Acidity is notable. Earthy flavors, tobacco, dried fruit. Great experience trying a 41 year old vintage! — a month ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best on Day 2. The 2019 pours a pale garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherries, red roses, tangerine, pomegranate, talcum powder, dried sage, truffle, and dried stony earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. A lovely expression of 2019 Barbaresco. Drink now with patience and through 2049. — 2 months ago
Columbia Valley Merlot with medium tannin and high acidity, with notes of plum and tobacco, at Coastal Alchemist wine bar, Ogunquit, ME — 8 days ago
Didn’t like it at first, after tasting other wines. Really grew on me. Tastes like papaya. — 2 months ago
Black cherry, raspberry, plum, blackberry, cassis and oak. Full-bodied and soft tannins. — 10 days ago
Very impressed with this bottle. 2017 vintage and it still explodes with flavor across your tongue and down the sides dragging a solid melon, peach, and honey the whole way to the back of your mouth. The front end is very citrusy with a little white pepper. — a month ago
Rich, bold, amazing! tobacco, cola, and cedar, with coffee, blueberry/blackberry, dark chocolate - sweet and savory flavors with minerality. The tannins are as sturdy, but it is balanced and light. — 3 months ago
