Chilled and opened about an hour before dinner and allowed to gently come to temp. Served alongside charcoal grilled Thai sausage, sticky rice, coconut Thai curry, herb salad, shallot, lime, garlic, chiles. Tonight, this bottle was nothing short of remarkable. A deep golden color with gorgeous notes of squishy tropical fruit, white flowers, and turmeric. Wooly and waxy with acid for dayzzz. Stunning now but this bottle would show well through 2029 without breaking a sweat. — 4 months ago

Aromas of black berey fruit.
Dry. Flavors of blackberry, peppercorn, tar, black plum, espresso. Medium-rich, smooth tannins. Dark flavours.

Relative to when I had this a year ago, the wine has developed slightly, perhaps gaining a little more density and body while shedding some of the crazy floral / violet aromas - while not heavy it’s certainly is medium body leaning toward full body. On the nose lovely casis and herbs (leaning toward the savory side but very well layered and fragrant). While this wine has no hard edges I believe it needs a few more years in bottle to really come together - it’s got great stuffing and just needs more time — a month ago
I bought this from barrel tasting at Nickel & Nickel’s luncheon futures, Entrecote En Baguette. Tasted 20 Cabernets and this and the Sori Brico were the two Sofia and I purchased.

Beautiful and very well rounded. Less sweet than I usually like but still so tasty. Very full on the nose- hints of flush red fruit. Nice acidity and tannin balance. — 4 months ago
