Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2006 Juliet pours a deep garnet/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated dark fruits: cassis, blackberries, plums, tobacco, leather, mixed dead flowers, old wood, organic earth and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with an attractive, plush texture. This is in a really good spot and fully mature. Drink now through 2031. — 12 days ago

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Fruity nose of red fruits with earth, herbs and chocolate notes.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with raspberries, cherries, peppercorn, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, light cedar, tobacco leaf and herbs.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Mourvedre from Bandol. Elegant and nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Drinking beautifully now, although still young, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Complex and delicious right now. Good by itself or with food.

A blend of 90% Mourvedre and 10% Grenache. Aged for 22 months in large French oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Another solid vintage of this consistently good Provence Rose’. This vintage’s blend is Grenache (50%), Cinsault (30%) and Syrah (20%). Light pink in color with some lavender highlights. Fruit forward aromas of strawberry, watermelon, red flowers and lemon zest. Same fruity flavors with additional notes of peach, orange, and minerals. Touch of white pepper on the tart finish. Crisp, refreshing and clean with a faint hint of sweetness. Nice balance of acidity and alcohol (12.5%). Thanks for sharing, Chris B! Revisited in June 2025. Still fresh and bright. — 4 months ago
