Syrah 70% / Cab Sauv 14% / PV 16%
Varietally fermented & aged. French oak (10-14 months), then assemblage.
Prominent roasted, smokey aromas, leather, blueberry, blackberry, menthol, coffee bean, clove, black pepper, dried violets, pencil shavings.
Ripe blackberry, blueberry, and plum; vanilla bean, cocoa nib, black pepper, crushed rock / graphite. Fresh acidity; tannins resolving nicely but still robust.
Drink now with food now or revisit in 2-3yrs. (Nb. variance has been a factor - some have peaked) — 2 months ago
Blend of equal amounts of local red grapes; Caino, Espadeiro and Loueiro, Ruby red color with aromas of red fruits, herb, floral and cigar box notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with tobacco, oak and garden herbs. Medium+ finish, chalky tannins, savory, ending with herbs, spice, cedar and slight fruit, savory. Nice, will continue to age. — a month ago

Sue first rioja - great with steak — 22 days ago
Gotta agree with @Josh Morgenthau here. The reductive feeds, rather than detracts from, the structure and punchy evolution in your mouth. — 2 months ago
Love this. Nicely balanced that has lots of similarities to a BX w some age. Lead, leather, spice, plums, earthy. Nose is a bit hot. Still, a great value for $26. Buy again. — 3 months ago

2019 vintage. A bit richer than expected. Slightly less grip than anticipated. This is a great wine “cheat code” for Spain and Rioja. Showing nicely now. 11.20.24. — 5 days ago
