Awesome nose. Wild herbs, blackberry fruit and some red fruits as well. A chord progression. Dripping with blood and game. So meaty. So feral. Texture is like silk. Sweet fruit and so much energy. Juicy like nothing else and just explosive. Unreal granite on the finish. So fine. Really great. Let’s see what air does. Slate like tannins. Great structure and grip. Just terrific! — a month ago

Clos Rougeard Le Bourg 2018 (Magnum)

Deep ruby in the glass. The bouquet is truly very fine: refined and elegant, with aromas of cassis, black cherry and plum, lifted by graphite, tobacco and a touch of violets.


On the palate, the first impression is the velvety texture. The tannins are ripe and finely grained, well integrated into a wine that balances power with elegance.

The fruit is pure and lively, supported by fresh acidity and a clear sense of minerality.

The finish is long and harmonious, with dark berries and subtle spice lingering. Already impressive today, with plenty of potential to evolve further.
