2012 vintage. Opened and decanted. Tasted 45 mins after decanting. Medium-heavy body with tremendous power. Nose not giving up much at that point other than nebulous, dark fruits. Flavors of spearmint, watercress, rhubarb and ash. Needed at least another hour of lounge time in the decanter to unfurl those wings somewhat but three hours woulda been better. Two bottles left so will opt for a 6 hr decant next viz if possible. 12.25.24. — 2 months ago
I’ve been loving the much maligned 2011’s lately. Most of them are in their prime right now including this one which was super elegant with a great mix of rocky minerality and dark fruit. This is at peak and will drink well for another decade. — a day ago
