Still quite dark purple-red color, nose is quite closed, some mineral, iodine and black pepper aromas, red and black fruits which taste quite primary and youthful, great acid balance, structure shows in the long, lingering finish, I’d guess 10-15 more years of further aging on this to maturity, but awfully great tonight!! — a month ago
13.0% ABV Dark purple color. Nice oak . Very good wine. Paired w/ beef bourguignon. — 3 months ago
Purchased at the winery on my single visit there, had gone to pick up the Syrah, and was very taken with this tiny production Mondeuse. Rich, but not heavy, rustic in some ways, but amazing “mountain fruit” depth and great acidity which largely hides the structure and tannins, long, lingering finish, needs a fair amount of cellaring, though beautiful tonight!! — 25 days ago

Clear, pale lemon colour. Clean, pronounced floral bouquet. Dry, with high acidity and medium bodied. Intense flavours of lime, lemon and citrus blossom. Long finish with significant minerality. A very good wine that would no doubt be better after a few years.

Got that cheerful New World round red fruit and chocolate thang. — 2 months ago
2020 vintage. A fave CA chard and producer. Medium-medium heavy body. Tasting slightly more tropical and advanced with less acidity than usual. Still absolutely delicious tho. Would like to retaste and reevaluate in 5-6 months tho. Based on 30 vintages of tasting this particular wine, betting it reconciles any tawdry, fleeting concerns that occupy my compromised palate and right quick. 01.22.25. — 4 months ago

2014 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 45 mins. Medium body. Repping Stagecoach Vineyard right with some trail dust, cedar, ripe dark cherry and tobacco for punch. A really pleasant, subtle richness with the initial draw/flavors that deposited on the front palate. Nicely made, nicely done. Not a candidate for a Napa time capsule 30 years from now but tasted like it'll be showing well for the next 7-8 years. 05.09.25. — 13 days ago
