Taking its name from the sea and sun – the two forces of nature that shape its character. Pale lemon, aromas of Stone and tropical fruits, with floral and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach & apricot with lemon zest and toasty vanilla notes. Smooth long finish, well balanced, nice acidity, ending with fruit, vanilla oak and mineral character. Sip’s well now. Pair this with some fresh tuna! — 3 days ago
See my prior notes. For a gnarly vintage, few complaints here. — 23 days ago
Time to drink. Past its prime however still interesting. Blackberry, plumb with licorice. Some notes of leather along with what seemed stronger than normal alcohol. What you doing in 1987? — 12 days ago
Alessandro Dalle Carbonare
This guy is blooming. Very fine and complex nose with indefinite notes but of ample bouquet. It enters serious in the mouth without missing any bit of intensity.
Actually gaining more and more focus the longer the aftertaste.
Literally a beautiful finish.
Linger and simply wow.
Just 96 because the intensity and the weight is not quite consistent but this is a gorgeous wine. — 5 days ago
