This is lovely wine and 10 years later, it’s still not quite ready for prime time. It’s a long runner so no real hurry. The cassis and cocoa will integrate with the dark berry eventually but I’m gonna let this rest another 5-10 years to enjoy as this vintage and this wine deserves. It’s very good now. Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, roasted tomatoes, and tabacco; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of red currants, clay pots, graphite, and eucalyptus with a long finish.
