Mid 20th century fashionable country resort, popular with Hollywood due to 1892 stone Manor House & historic gardens. Blend of 90% Cab Sauv, 5% Malbec, rest Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs and cigar box spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and black currant with vanilla oak, tobacco and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine tannins long finish ending with fruit, espresso notes and sweet earthy spice! Nice now and will drink well over next decade. — a month ago
1996 vintage. Open but not decanted. Pretty serious sed. Tasted one hour after opening. A bit tight at that time, yet, the effort, quality and experience all up front and center. Still the best wine this property has ever made. Possibly 3-4 more years at this apex. A maggie would extend it to 5-8 years. Wow. Just wow. 8.2.24. — 2 months ago
Really like it. Definitely tastes some fruits and something else. Not as bold as some others but was a nice change from the rich cabs we’ve been having. — 22 days ago

One of the best cab sauv’s I’ve had! — a month ago
Full-bodied and seductive with heaps of dark berry fruit, followed by aromas of leather and oak. On the palate, the wine is round and layered, showing flavors of dark fruits, vanilla, and toffee through a lingering spice-touched finish. — a month ago
Spicy, almost smoky at the start, with a sweet finish that becomes more pronounced after several minutes in the glass — 2 months ago

Truthfully, a little disappointed with this one. Good, but not comparable to the price paid. — 7 days ago
