Mid 20th century fashionable country resort, popular with Hollywood due to 1892 stone Manor House & historic gardens. Blend of 90% Cab Sauv, 5% Malbec, rest Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs and cigar box spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and black currant with vanilla oak, tobacco and earthy notes. Well balanced, fine tannins long finish ending with fruit, espresso notes and sweet earthy spice! Nice now and will drink well over next decade. — a month ago

1996 vintage. Open but not decanted. Pretty serious sed. Tasted one hour after opening. A bit tight at that time, yet, the effort, quality and experience all up front and center.
