Really needed food. This wine was dark and not enjoyable unless paired with rich food.

This was bloody marvelous last night at dinner.

18 years in bottle and it was singing. Perfect condition & around the top of its bell curve.

I have had now many older vintages of Felsina and have yet to be disappointed by any of them. One of the very best & consistent producers in Chianti.

Think I recently (6 months ago) paid $35 for this 05. Extremely great value. — a month ago

bit shy, needed some time in the decanter - translucent ruby colored, lots of violets and spice, sour cherry and bing cherry, rhubarb, tar, sweet soil, really complex on nose, med weight w/firm tannic grip, flavors from nose on mid palate, nice finish. paired with smoked ribs and it really worked - Father's day treat. i have another of these, believe this is in the pocket right now. *more Barbaresco than Brunello — 4 days ago

Decant and pour (lots of chunky/fine sediment). A striking purplish magenta color. On the nose: Alluring perfumed nose of dark cherry, worn leather, black olives, smoked meat, herbaceous, touch of brett(bandaids). Taste: velvety, creamy, savory, structured wine with dark plum/blackberry preserve, minerals, earth, chocolate espresso, leather, and a long lingering spicy tobacco leaf finish. YUM! — 19 days ago
