The 2022 is just so epic. Gorgeous and provocative nose of ripe cherries, damson berries and a you can almost smell the treacly texture. Raspberry and cherry flower as well. Just amazing fruit captured on the nose. Truly wow. Palate is gorgeous, textured and deep with terrific acidity and freshness and a dramatic opulence to it as well. Just stunning and so juicy. This is just as perfect for what it is as one can get. As it airs the structure becomes more substantial and my god the tiny berry fruit intensity is remarkable. Gorgeous wine. The finish now is stunning mineral and fleshy red cherries. Almost 9.6. Picks up insane finesse now with air. What a wine! — a month ago

Peak of summer is Kabi time!
Fresh & light yet punching some much flavour!
After the first naphtha nose blows off this shows amazing purity & freshness with fresh vineyard peaches, underripe apricots, a flowery whiff, some tangerine peel. And cool, slightly spicy, slate minerality. Very enticing!
Not exactly weightless as some can be (warm vintage), this delivers beautiful purity of fruit balanced off with zingy acidity. Nicely poised & balanced. Very elegant and highly drinkable.

Medium + lemon yellow in colour. Aromas of yellow fruits (peach) with a honeyed note. Carries through to the medium + intensity palate with a certain texture from the oak maturation. As outlined in previous notes putting Riesling to oak doesn’t seem right although it is more integrated than previous tastings, but it is an old German thing - arguably the Godfathers of Riesling. Impossible not to like this. The GG quality coming through. Ready to drink. — a year ago

A beautiful example of a Pfalz Riesling - elegant, rounded, very Burgundian.
White peach and lemon peel, a whiff of white flowers and just a slight hint of wood.
On the palate this is impeccably balanced, with zingy acidity balanced with ripe peachy fruit. All that on a bed of rocky minerality with a very long, fine, salty fresh finish. This has nice depth and brilliant drinkability. Great stuff, even from the trickier 22 vintage.

This is one of Germanys most famous vineyards and Von Winning has made a very vibrant, concentrated and age worthy wine from it. Bursting with lime, rocks, smoke and yellow fruits. Great texture. — 9 months ago
