"Côte Bouguerots" Bougros Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2020

Guys, this is really really good. I’ve been on a bad streak with premox - 4 of 6 fevre 04 les clos’s I recently bought went down the drain so I was worried looking at the color through the bottle. So I opened one even though it is way too young. Never had the Cote Bouguerots before. Very impressive. Much weightier and rounder than typical Chablis, but still with enough apple and limestone to place it. Big fan especially at the price point. — 14 days ago

Trocken Riesling 2022

Crisp and bone dry German Riesling perfect for hot days. This trocken from the Pfalz is a great example of those German wines. Delicious, but not for everyone. — 2 months ago

Les Clos Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2021

The bouquet is sooooo intoxicating, melting you from all directions with orange and apple blossoms, peach and nectarine nectar, jasmine, shortbread, lemon pledge, limeade, oyster shells and ocean spray, and crushed gravel

On the palate a spectrum of citrus lasers meld w that juicy dripping peach flesh ~ riding that long acidic and saline finish ~ WOW!

Les Preuses Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2019

Young obviously but after like 5 premox’ed bottles of white burg, so nice to open a great bottle with tons of minerals and citrus. Good stuff — 22 days ago

Bougros Chablis Grand Cru Chardonnay 2005

Pulled from the wine fridge and double-decanted about 90 minutes prior to service; enjoyed over the course of three hours. The 2005 Bougros pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of marmalade, dried apricot, cashews, chalky minerals, leesy, and slightly sherried. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and super chalky.

This improved dramatically as it came up to temperature and had some real time to stretch its legs. It showed all the hallmarks of well aged GC Chablis from a solar year: powerful, dried fruit; the chalk; the acid; its creamy, leesy texture. The sherried, oxidative notes seemed to dissipate over time, freshening up a bit after being cooped up for so long. Bravo! Drink now and before 2030. Thanks Andy!

Hans-Bert Espe Und Silke Wolf Baden Spätburgunder 2020

good example of what a German, Baden area, Pinot Noir can be. Spatburgunder in German labeling
Light, delicate, aromatic, somewhat more sour cherry and rhubarb than you might expect but still a win.

Ernst Loosen Pfalz Gewürztraminer 2022

Amazing wine. Aroma is honeydew, apple, pear, apple blossom, honeysuckle, orange flower water, and even a hint of minerality in there. Palate has the same notes in the aroma, wine is a bit sweeter than I usually go for but not unbalanced with the acidity. Took down two bottles of it and could do more. Will drink again — 2 months ago
