Clear and brilliant , medium ruby garnet with a light garnet ruby rim . This is showing quite a lot of tobacco and , sous bois , some dusty cassis , sweet red cherry , red plum , coffee and beef jus . After a while a touch of old wood and grafite . Quite intense and certainly alive . On the palate this is elegant and with more dusty, coffee tinged sweet red fruit , red plum , cherry. Dusty cassis. Good density and really elegant acidity and fine , resolved tannins . Good length with some coffee and cocoa on the finish . Mature obviously but showed well and opened up over an hour or so in decanter . Drink now and over the next 5-10 years perhaps , though won’t improve . — 4 months ago
Bedrock wines don’t disappoint. Pagani Ranch Heritage is a classic Bedrock. — 5 months ago
As the kids say, this one just hits different. I’m not the biggest SB fan, but Bedrock’s Sonoma SB consistently brings out the floral, melon, and pear aspects of the varietal while leaving the green aspects behind. 2024 is no different, and comes with nice acidity to balance it as well. A great a versatile food wine. — 2 months ago
At 10-years, a beautiful experience…deep, dark pour with no signs of bricking…dark fruit (more purple and black) aromatics that just keep on developing…palate mirrors aromatics with strong fruit profile…pleasing texture/mouth feel…medium finish…hard to say how much longer one should hold…tonight, it was in the right place for our dinner — 2 months ago
Deep Ruby, pronounced aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum, cassis, black cherry, cedar, vanilla, tobacco leaf and forest floor. Already showing some tertiary notes. Lovely balance of fruit and savory elements, ripe fine-grained tannin and a very long finish. Wonderful wine, easy to appreciate now but with 5 or 10 more years ahead. — 5 months ago
Another rollercoaster experience with Bedrock but happily this was on the up side; maybe 10 years is the key. Opened, tasted put in an aerator and went to dinner. The wine was excellent start to finish and did not seem to change much. A lot of dark fruits all around, smooth finish and just drinking great. Too busy at dinner with friends to have detailed notes. — 3 months ago

A big wine in a big bottle that made a big group of friends very happy. The 2017 Evangelho Heritage (from magnum) is energetic with loads of sweet dark fruit. It doesn’t lack zing even though this year’s blend is short in Carignan — there are nice balancing acids and mild tannins. It is richer and riper than many vintages but still vibrant. — 2 months ago
