2021 hits all the notes — 20 days ago
Popped and poured from magnum; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2022 pours a deep ruby/purple with a transparent core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red and dark fruits: Bing cherry, pomegranate, licorice, dried green herbs and rocky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A young Côte du Py, especially in this format. Drink now with patience and through 2042. — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days; good on Day 1 and even better on Day 2. The 2022 Cuvée Zaccharie pours a deep garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart fruit: raspberry, black cherry, black licorice and stony minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Any Thivin is already up there with the best in Beaujolais; this Cuvée Zaccharie is phenomenal and gives me Foillard 3.14, Breton P’tit Max, and Metras L’Ultime vibes. Wow. Great now and will only get better, particularly after 2030 and through 2045+. — a month ago
Funky reduction overpowering some lush fruit. A bit too much manipulation for me. — a month ago
2018 drunk in 2025. Beautiful color—no signs of age; light bodied, tart, and bone dry. Lovely and great food wine. — 2 months ago
I have never been disappointed by a Cru Beaujolais, though I admit the first day this #brouilly was closed and a touch unbalanced on the tart side. Wine fridge +1 day and it’s expressed itself pleasantly. Cooked raspberry, lighter cherry nose, lovely acid-forward balance with more pronounced fruit on the second day, understated mineral notes. Good decision to buy 3 bottles at less than $20 each @ #costcowines — 25 days ago
Still great but maybe time to finish up — a month ago

These bottlings from Thivin are some of my favorite Beaujolais. Obviously will be better in a few years - but I like to open one early and leave the rest in storage to get an early sense. This is excellent per usual - with a 4 hour decant, it’s actually quite in balance with great red fruit, a nice sappy earthy quality, and obviously excellent acid. Delicious. — 18 days ago
