Was honestly a bit disappointed this relative to some other wines from him. Ie was excellent out of the bottle but I think it might have gotten over decanted 4 hrs post opening. Surprisingly I liked the 1996 Barolo from him better — 5 months ago

Le Rocche del Falletto Barolo Nebbiolo 2005

Medium garnet , wide light garnet rim. Touch volatile at first , high toned summer fruits , but with more time this becomes more focused with porcini, cedar , aromatic black tea , orange rind . On the palate this is really still very fruit driven , with lots of summer fruits , strawberry , blackberry , spiced dark cherries, beef extract , liquorice and dried rose . Balanced acidity and still quite present gritty tannin . This is still showing quite young and fruit driven , enjoyable and really good now , will no doubt have a long life ahead , from now and over the next 10 - 15 years . — 3 months ago
