I had this a week ago but didn’t take any notes at all at a friends tasting last Sunday afternoon. Have always been a huge fan of Dominus and this was from an exceptional vintage. I recall an excellent left bank Cabernet dominant style but presented as a Napa style - rich and plush but not overly so. Thoroughly enjoyable. — 19 days ago
Colgin tasting with Neal Bernardi(COO) and Allison Tauziet(winemaker). Nice three hour tour through the vineyard, cellar, wine making operations, and tasting. Neal and Allison were terrific hosts!

Big wine. Very ripe red and black fruit, but of minerality. Very expressive. Very easy drinking. Tannins have softened nicely but still give a grippy mouthfeel which leads to a long finish. — 6 days ago

Lovely nose of black currant, dark berries, lavender earth, leather, and wood - the palate seems balanced but lacks density which is a detractor for me. This improved with a 2 hour decant — 19 days ago

Breathtaking… as complete and as rounded a Solaia as I have ever had. Great aromatics. The perfume was strong and the dark fruit was full of live but also rich. It was as interesting in the 3rd hour as the first. Fantastic bottle! This is why I love wine… — 7 days ago
