Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2020 “Bucerchiale” pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart red fruits: funky cherry, mushroom, horse blanket, pu-erh tea, earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This bottle benefitted from time in the glass and would recommend a 30min decant ahead of service. Drink now through 2030. — 7 days ago

Wow this is too young! Opened it, had a glass, then left it on counter for 24 hours. Better, but still needs more air. Cassis, dried meats, cherry, herbs, a bit of wood, more red fruits. It’s all there just need to open it in a decade. — 16 days ago

Blend of Sangiovese (90%), Merlot (5%) and Syrah (5%). Dark ruby color with a thin garnet rim. Sour cherry on the nose with hints of black fruit, violets and baking spices. Tart and ripe black cherry/berry/raspberry fruit on the palate with notes of black pepper, chai spices and vanilla. Distinct mineral note on the long and earthy finish. Full bodied and high alcohol with noticeable tannins. High acidity keeps the wine well balanced. Nice complexity. — 22 days ago
