13-year-old Washington cab from this celebrated winery. Getting near the end of life in my estimation, took a while airing out to soften up a bit.# — 7 months ago
Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose and full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Showing black fruits, cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, espresso, chocolates, earth, light vegetables, herbs and peppercorn.
This 8-year-old Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking very nicely right out of the bottle, and even better after 90 minutes of airtime.
Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and complex. Spicy and entertaining.
Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
Wine Spectator 90 points. Wine Enthusiasts 92 points.
Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine. Will also pair nicely with barbecue meats.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Big and bright! Light clove and blackberry. Memories of Gino are bright with this one! Miss you big guy! 🕊️ — 7 months ago
Brick in colour, fruit was still strong and it has been awhile but this wine gave me a very strong sense of place. Maybe it was nostalgia but I would have known it was Walla Walla blind folded. — 13 days ago
Delicious Thanksgiving wine with notes of soy sauce and baking spice — 5 months ago
From a magnum. A fantastic wine. I have enjoyed Leonetti wines before, but this is my first experience with Figgins. Dense, complex and flavourful, with a long authoritative aftertaste, quite impressive. It’s almost ready, with many more years of life ahead of it. Better on 2nd and 3rd day when it completely opened up. Makes me want more.

Bought at the KV tasting room outside of Seattle a few years ago. Fun visit as they have plenty of wine to meet your palate needs!
I opened this as part of a GSM blind taste. There were 12 wines, including an ‘07 Cayuse GOK, ‘12 No Girls Syrah, ‘21 Allbaer Syrah, ‘12 Torbreck Struie, etc.
Out of 12, this tied for second. This took the bigger profile of the ‘07 GOK, added a juicy fruit factor, removed a kiss of funk, and tada! Double decanted two hours before taste. Translucent ruby in the glass. Aromatics of black peppered rhubarb, green/herbal twang, and cured meat (not overly meaty though). Beautifully elegant profile (and appropriate for Grenache) showing great acidity, whole cluster, with spicy strawberry, sweet jerky and no trace of oak. Defining characteristic of this wine is juicy red fruit framed by black pepper spice. Good now with decant.

Left bank meets northern rhone. Incredible wine. Masculine, meaty, bitter and acidity with touches of dark fruit and graphite. As time passes it softens and fruit starts to show but definitely a complex wine that evolves throughout the experience. Age worthy and drink now with decanting. — 7 days ago
