Release date May 2012. Strong showing. Gaining a bit of color — 3 months ago
Opened about an hour in advance of dinner and enjoyed over the course of several hours alongside the 2017 La Migoua and 2020 Lulu & Lucien. No formal notes. The 2019 La Tourtine is phenomenal. Surprisingly more open than expected but still showing its youth with everything still primary. On this night, to my palate, it was far and away the most impressive of the three. It had a streak of dried herbs and smoked meat that was really attractive. Structure for dayzzzz. Baller stuff with traditional cassoulet. Drink now with patience through 2044. — 4 months ago
Medium lemon , light copper hue . Some light but persistent bubbles still. This is quite serious and rich on the nose , with some orange rind , walnut , touch of mushroom and meaty , soy hints . Quite rich , intense and dense on the palate but with good freshness still , long with orange rind and walnut. Perfect now and over the next 5 years or so . Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Both days outstanding but slightly different experiences. Day 1 was about power. Day 2 was about balance. The 2020 “Cuvée Réservée” pours a brilliant garnet with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with heady, slightly funky notes of ripe brambles, garrigue, red & purple flowers, bacon fat, licorice, and dry rocky earth. On Day 2, everything was more open nit and the fruit showed more bruised with a slightly stewed profile. Lavender was the predominate floral profile too. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is textbook Pégau and I love it. Drink now through 2045+ — 3 months ago
Absolutely lovely. Opened 90 mins before and didn’t decant, don’t think it needed it. Finish really may be 1min+. This is drinking meaningfully more advanced than the 1999 that we had a number of months ago - so, drink up, but enjoy. Incredible precision of fruit and earth and excellent acid. Paired with simple chicken thighs crisped and the fat rendered down in a pan and then a pan sauce with shallot, garlic, thyme, and lemon. Delicious. — 4 months ago

Popped open on the night of college football championship game. I honestly thought the U would pull it off at the last second and kick the winning extra point as the expired.
Oh well… at least this is enjoyable as always. My reference point for rose Champaign. — 4 months ago
