1hr+ decant. For some reason I want to say this wine is juicy. Dark red wine with translucent edges. Wood, cherries, and subtle manure on the nose. Juicy with more wood on the palate with some sweetness. Medium finish and depth. Unique wine that is very enjoyable. — 2 months ago

Medium-dark-red color, very little browning at rim, this shows a little of the “overripe” notes I’ve found in 1990 Bordeaux (and CdPs), nice concentration and depth, long finish, the ripeness carries into the finish and detracts just a little. — 2 months ago

On the palate flavors of black cherry, currant and blueberry fruit with cigar box, cinnamon and floral notes. This old Napa wine was superb. The longer the decanting the more flavorful it became. Spicy at first sip with bursts of flavor from dark berries, leathery tannins, currant, earth and strong blackberry. Gains intensity and shows its depth and concentration on the finish, which is long and detailed. — 2 months ago

Quite approachable at this young age. 30 minutes decant and it’s open for business. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, sweet spices, cocoa, and lightly roasted nuts. The depth of flavors and elegant medium to full body show the pedigree. If blinded, I would not be able to tell this is a Sangiovese dominant blend. Would prefer a bit more acidity.
